Green Beans Marinated

Ingredients

  1. 2 cans beans (qt.)
  2. 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
  3. 4 Tbsp. bacon grease
  4. 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  5. 4 Tbsp. vinegar
  6. 6 to 8 strips crisply fried bacon
  7. 1/2 c. water from the beans

Directions

  1. Fry bacon.
  2. Remove from grease.
  3. Pour off grease, leaving at least 4 tablespoons.
  4. Add sugar, mustard, vinegar and water.
  5. Heat until dissolved.
  6. Add beans.
  7. Cook about 5 minutes.
  8. Serve at room temperature.
  9. Crumble bacon over top of beans when ready to serve.
