Cutout Cookie

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 c. shortening
  2. 1/2 c. butter
  3. 1 c. sugar
  4. 2 eggs, beaten
  5. 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  6. 2 1/2 c. flour
  7. 1 tsp. baking powder
  8. 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Chill for several hours.
  3. Cut out with cookie cutters.
  4. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  5. Frost if you want to. Makes approximately 4 dozen.
