Caramel Layer Chocolate Squares

Ingredients

  1. 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
  2. 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  3. 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  4. 1 German chocolate cake mix
  5. 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  6. 1 c. chopped nuts
  7. 12 oz. bag chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Melt together caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
  2. Mix together 1/3 cup evaporated milk, cake mix, butter and nuts. Press 1/2 cake mixture into greased and floured pan.
  3. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes (probably longer).
  4. Remove from oven.
