Sausage Pinwheels

Ingredients

  1. 2 c. flour
  2. 1/2 tsp. salt
  3. 3 tsp. baking powder
  4. 5 Tbsp. shortening
  5. 2/3 c. milk
  6. 1 lb. bulk sausage
  7. 2 Tbsp. mustard

Directions

  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening and milk.
  3. Divide dough and sausage into two parts.
  4. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
  5. Spread with sausage and then mustard.
  6. Roll up like jelly roll.
  7. Wrap in wax paper and chill.
  8. Slice 1/2-inch thick and bake on greased pan at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.
