Squash Puffs

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 lb. yellow squash, sliced
  2. 1 egg, beaten
  3. 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  4. 1/3 c. cornmeal
  5. 1 tsp. baking powder
  6. 1/2 tsp. salt
  7. 1 medium onion, grated
  8. vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Cook squash in water until done.
  2. Drain and mash to make 1 cup.
  3. Mix all ingredients and drop by tablespoon into hot oil. Cook until golden brown, turning once.
  4. Drain well.
