Mildred Pardue'S Blue Ribbon Carrot Cake

Ingredients

  1. 2 c. sugar
  2. 2 tsp. soda
  3. 2 tsp. baking powder
  4. 2 c. plain flour
  5. 2 tsp. cinnamon
  6. 3 c. grated raw carrots
  7. 4 eggs (unbeaten)
  8. 1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  9. 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients; add eggs and oil. Beat on low speed until well mixed. Stir in carrots and nuts. Pour into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans. Bake in 300° oven 1 hour.
