Italian Cream Cake
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 tsp. soda, mixed with flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- Thoroughly cream together Crisco, oleo and sugar.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla.
- Alternately add flour with soda and buttermilk until blended.
- Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
- Makes 3 layers. Between cooled layers, spread cooled filling.
