Layered Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing
  2. 1/4 c. green onion, sliced
  3. 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  4. 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  5. 1 tsp. dill weed (optional)
  6. 4 c. shredded lettuce
  7. 1 1/2 c. (4 oz.) medium shell macaroni, cooked and drained
  8. 2 c. chopped tomatoes
  9. 2 c. chopped cucumber
  10. 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and drained
  11. 6 bacon slices, crisply cooked and crumbled
  12. 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Combine dressing, green onions and mustard; set aside.
  2. Toss tuna with dill.
  3. In a 3-quart serving bowl, layer lettuce, shells, cucumber, tomatoes, tuna, peas and bacon.
  4. Spread dressing mixture over bacon, sealing to edge of bowl.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Chill several hours or overnight.
  6. Toss to serve.
  7. Makes 8 servings.
  8. Prep. Time: 25 minutes plus chilling.
