Apple Pie



  1. 2 can Apple Pie Filling
  2. 1 tbsp cinnamon
  3. 2 tbsp margarine
  4. 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  5. 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  6. 1/2 cup shortening
  7. 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  8. 4 tbsp cold water
  9. 1/4 margarine


  1. In a small saucepan on low heat combine the apple pie filling, cinnamon, sugar and 2 tbsp margarine.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine 1/4 c. Margarine, 1/4 c. Butter and 1/2 c. Shortening until blended evenly
  3. Mix in flour an water 1 tbsp at a time (do not over knead)
  4. Split dough into 2 portions and roll flat.
  5. Using shortening to grease the pie dish lay the first crust in the dish.
  6. Once the apples are tender pour the filling into bottom pie crust
  7. Using a pizza cutter or knife cut strips in the second pie crust and lay them on top to create the lattice look.
  8. Sprinkle the top with butter, cinnamon, and sugar and bake at 450 for 40-45 minutes.
