Apple Blackberry Crunch Recipe

Ingredients

  1. 4 lrg Apples- 2 each red and green, (jonagold & granny smith)
  2. 1 c. Granola
  3. 1/2 c. Rolled oats
  4. 1/2 c. Minced nuts
  5. 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  6. 1 tsp Cinnamon
  7. 1/2 c. Margarine
  8. 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  9. 1/2 c. Apple/pecan syrup
  10. 1/2 c. Sugar
  11. 2 Tbsp. Flour
  12. 1 tsp Cinnamon
  13. 2 c. Blackberry

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Grease deep 2-qt or possibly 9x13 baking dish.
  3. Peel, core, and cut apples into 1/4 inch slices.
  4. Layer in dish - green/red/green/red.
  5. Mix syrup and lemon juice, pour proportionately over apples.
  6. Combine granola, oats, nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon - cut in butter till resembles coarse crumbs.
  7. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon - sprinkle 1/2 of mix over apples.
  8. Spread proportionately with blackberries, sprinkle remaining flour mix over berries.
  9. Cover completely with granola mix.
  10. Bake 40-45 min or possibly till apples are tender when pierced with a knife.
  11. Serve hot with heavy cream or possibly yogurt for breakfast, or possibly with ice cream or possibly whipped cream for dessert.
  12. Serves 8-10
