Apfelpfannkuchen (Apple Pancakes) Recipe



  1. 4 x apples, Granny Smith
  2. 3/4 c. Butter
  3. 2 Tbsp. sugar (caster)
  4. 1/4 tsp cinnamon, grnd
  5. 2/3 c. flour, plain
  6. 2 tsp sugar (caster)
  7. 1/4 tsp Salt
  8. 4 x Large eggs
  9. 1/2 c. Lowfat milk


  1. *BatterSift together the flour, sugar, and the salt.
  2. Beat Large eggs and lowfat milk together.
  3. Gradually add in flour mix; beat till smooth.
  4. *Apples:Peel, core and slice apples.
  5. Saute/fry apples in 1/2 of butter till tender.
  6. Mix sugar and the cinnamon together; toss with apples.
  7. *To cook:Heat some butter in a 6-inch diameter, deep frypan.
  8. Pour in the batter to a depth of about 1/4-inch.
  9. When set, place 1/4 of the apples on top; cover with more batter.
  10. Fry pancake till lightly browned on both sides.
  11. Keep hot.
  12. Repeat the procedure till all batter and apples are used.
  13. Serve immediately.
