Apple n Swiss Mac & Cheese

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups Pasta, Any Shape
  2. 3 cups Diced Apples
  3. 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken, Diced
  4. 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil (or A Splash)
  5. 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  6. 2 teaspoons Salt
  7. 2 teaspoons Rubbed Sage
  8. 1 pint Whipping Cream
  9. 1 stick Butter
  10. 18 ounces, weight Swiss Cheese, Cubed
  11. 1 Tablespoon All-purpose Flour

Directions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the directions on the box.
  2. Drain and set aside when done.
  3. Combine apples, chicken and olive oil in a large skillet.
  4. Place over a medium heat and cook for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is done.
  5. Season with black pepper, salt and rubbed sage.
  6. Remove skillet from heat and set aside.
  7. Add whipping cream and butter into a large saucepan and heat slowly until the butter is melted.
  8. Add cubed Swiss cheese stir occasionally.
  9. When the cheese is almost all the way melted, add in flour and mix or whisk well until there are no lumps.
  10. Once you are certain the cheese is melted add pasta and apples into the skillet with chicken.
  11. Mix well, heat for a minute or two over medium heat and then serve hot.
  12. Add extra salt or pepper to taste.
