A Traditional Side Dish



  1. 1 medium tomatoes cubed
  2. 1 medium red onion sliced thin
  3. 1 small hot chili peppers or mildly hot, fresh sliced
  4. 1 inch ginger (some matchstick slices)
  5. 1 each lemon juice of, fresh
  6. 1 x salt to taste


  1. In a bowl add the vegetables, some salt and squeeze lemon juice into the bowl.
  2. Cover and let stand in refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour before serving.
  3. Tastes great with channa masala and roti or as the prime chutney with aloo paranthas.
