Apple Turnover cake



  1. 6 Fiji or Gala Appeles (sliced thinly)
  2. 4 Eggs (beaten)
  3. 1 tbsp Baking powder
  4. 1 tbsp Vanilla
  5. 2 cup Flour
  6. 2 cup Granulated sugar
  7. 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  8. 1/2 tsp Salt
  9. 2 cup Butter (non-salted)


  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla to mixing bowl.
  3. Slowly add dry ingredients and mix well until smooth.
  4. Butter up the cake pan.
  5. Arrange the apple slices nicely and evenly on the bottom of the pan (this will be the top of the cake once you turn it over when cooked).
  6. Optional: add some more apples (grated) into the batter.
  7. Place batter over the arranged apples.
  8. Cook for 1hr at 350F.
  9. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the cake and serve.
