1986 Winner: Impatient Person's "I'm Hungry" Cookies Recipe



  1. 1 c. Unsalted butter, softened
  2. 8 ounce Cream cheese, softened
  3. 11/2 c. Sugar
  4. 1 x Egg
  5. 1 tsp Vanilla
  6. 3 c. Flour
  7. 1 tsp Baking pwdr


  1. Preparation Time: 20 min
  2. Chilling Time: Several hrs
  3. Baking Time: 10 to 15 min

  5. Cream butter and cream cheese in large mixer bowl.
  6. Beat in sugar till smooth.
  7. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  8. Stir in flour and baking pwdr.
  9. Refrigerateseveral hrs.

  11. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  12. Roll dough into small balls.
  13. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  14. Flatten with a glass which has been dipped in vanilla sugar (sugar in that you have stored a vanilla bean) or possibly plain sugar.

  16. Bake 10 to 15 min, till the edges are lightly browned.
