Apple Fritters Frittelle Di Mele Recipe



  1. 1 Tbsp. Active dry yeast
  2. 1 c. All-purpose flour, (unbleached)
  3. 1 pch Salt
  4. 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  5. 1 x Egg yolk
  6. 2 c. Extra virgin extra virgin olive oil
  7. 3 x Apples, peeled, cored, sliced in rings


  1. Dissolve the yeast in 3/4 c. of hot water.
  2. Stir in the flour, salt, sugar, and the egg yolk.
  3. Let the batter rest for 20 min.
  4. Heat the oil till it registers 350 on a thermometer.
  5. Dip slices into batter and deep fry till golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove with slotted spoon and blot dry with paper towels.
  7. Serve immediately.
