Another Blancmange



  1. 2 cups milk
  2. 2 tablespoons sugar
  3. 2 tablespoons cornflour
  4. lemon essence


  1. Make a smooth paste of the cornflour and a little of the milk.
  2. Bring remaining milk and sugar to boiling point.
  3. Take milk off the heat and add the cornflour paste and essence.
  4. Return to the heat and stir until thickened
  5. Pour into a bowl that has been rinsed in water but not dried and leave to set.
