AMIEs Special VALENTINEs Leche Flan



  1. 8 egg yolks
  2. 1 can condensed milk
  3. 1 can Carnation Evaporated milk or fresh milk
  4. 1 tsp lemon rind or vanilla extract
  5. 1/2 cup caramel syrup


  1. Preheat the oven to 160AsC (325AsF).
  2. Beat egg yolks together with lemon rind or vanilla.
  3. Pour condensed milk, add the evaporated or fresh milk and beat well.
  4. Line the heart-shaped mold with the caramel syrup.
  5. Pour gently the egg/milk mixture into the mold.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Place this in a large oven pan half-filled with water (bain-marie).
  8. Bake for an hour or until the mixture is firm.
  9. Let it cool before placing the mold in the refrigerator.
  10. Chill for 5-6 hours before serving.
  11. Transfer into a serving plate.
  12. Serve, and enjoy.
