Spanish Meat Balls

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb. ground meat
  2. 2 slices cubed bread
  3. 1 onion, grated
  4. 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
  5. 1 tsp. chili powder
  6. 1/2 tsp. allspice
  7. 2 eggs
  8. 1 tsp. salt
  9. 1 green pepper (optional)
  10. 2 cans tomato soup
  11. 2 1/2 soup cans water
  12. 1 tsp. chili powder

Directions

  1. Mix well the first 9 ingredients; shape into small balls.
  2. Put into a large greased casserole.
  3. Heat soup, water and remaining chili powder; pour over meat balls.
  4. Bake, covered, at 375° for 2 hours.
  5. Yields 6 servings.
