Grilled Catfish



  1. at least 1 catfish fillet per person (small or medium fillets work best)
  2. soy sauce
  3. red wine
  4. cooking oil
  5. Cajun seasoning
  6. other seasoning or flavors to taste (may include teriyaki sauce, hot sauce or anything you like)


  1. Wash fillets and remove any skin, fins or imperfections.
  2. Pat dry.
  3. Season liberally with Cajun seasoning.
  4. Place in shallow dish.
  5. Mix approximately equal amounts of soy sauce, oil and wine (plus any other desired flavors).
  6. Make enough to cover the fillets about halfway up.
  7. Pour over fillets.
  8. Turn after 10 minutes.
  9. Let marinate about 20 to 30 minutes.
