Barbecued Steak

Ingredients

  1. 1 c. catsup
  2. 1/4 c. vinegar
  3. 1/4 c. chopped onion
  4. 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  5. 1/2 tsp. salt
  6. 4 lb. round steak, cut 1/2-inch thick
  7. 1 c. water
  8. 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  9. 1 1/4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  10. 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  11. 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the steak in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Cut steak in serving size pieces. Place in large roaster pan.
  4. Pour sauce over meat.
  5. Cover tightly and bake in 325° oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
