Angel Delight Dessert



  1. 1 angel food cake
  2. 12 oz. pkg. milk chocolate morsels
  3. 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet morsels
  4. 4 eggs, separated
  5. 2 Tbsp. sugar
  6. 1/4 tsp. salt
  7. 12 oz. Cool Whip
  8. 1/2 c. chopped nuts


  1. Melt chocolate morsels with sugar and salt over hot water. When melted, take from fire and add egg yolks.
  2. Cool 5 minutes while you beat the egg whites.
  3. Add beaten egg whites and let cool completely, then mix in Cool Whip.
  4. Tear cake into bite size pieces; put half in pan and put about half the chocolate mixture over it.
  5. Add rest of cake, then rest of chocolate.
  6. Sprinkle nuts on top and store in refrigerator overnight or several hours.
