Chicken Tetrazzini

Ingredients

  1. 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
  2. 1 cup mushrooms
  3. 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  4. 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  5. 1/4 cup flour
  6. 1 tsp. salt
  7. 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  8. 1/4 tsp. pepper
  9. 2 cups chicken broth
  10. 1/2 cup whipping cream
  11. 3-1/2 cups diced cooked chicken
  12. 1 cup sharp shedded cheese

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti, drain. Saute onions and mushrooms in butter in a large pan.
  2. Add flour, salt, seasoning and pepper.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add broth.
  5. Cook until thick.
  6. Add cream and stir until smooth.
  7. Add chicken and place half of spaghetti in a greased 2 qt. casserole dish.
  8. Spoon half of chicken mixture over spaghetti. Repeat.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven and bake for 5 minutes.
