Raisin Pie

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 c. water
  2. 2 c. dark raisins
  3. 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  4. 1 Tbsp. butter
  5. 2/3 c. sugar
  6. 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  7. 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Add water to raisins and simmer until about 1/4 cup liquid remains.
  2. Add vinegar and butter; cool.
  3. Mix sugar, flour and salt; stir into raisins.
  4. Pour in unbaked pie shell.
  5. Cover with top crust.
  6. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to 375° and bake 25 minutes longer.
