Dill Pickles

Ingredients

  1. 1 garlic
  2. 30 to 36 medium cucumbers
  3. 3 c. vinegar
  4. 3 c. water
  5. 6 Tbsp. salt
  6. dill (fresh or canned)
  7. mustard seed
  8. 1 c. vinegar
  9. 1 tsp. salt
  10. 1 tsp. crystal or granulated alum
  11. 1 tsp. pickling spices
  12. finish filling can with cold water

Directions

  1. Let set 90 days.
  2. Heat lids.
  3. Open and wash through 2 or 3 waters.
  4. Slice round and cover with 2 cups sugar.
  5. Stir until dissolved.
  6. Let set overnight.
  7. Put in jars.
