Water Chestnut Rumaki

Ingredients

  1. 7 oz. can whole water chestnuts, drained
  2. 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  3. 1/2 strips of bacon
  4. 1/3 c. catsup
  5. 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

  1. Wrap chestnuts in bacon and secure with toothpick.
  2. Put in 9 x 12-inch pan and bake at 300° for one hour.
  3. Drain fat.
  4. Combine catsup, sugar and soy sauce.
  5. Pour over chestnuts.
  6. Sauce need not completely cover.
  7. Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
  8. Try to keep toothpick clean for people to serve themselves.
