Sausage And Hash Browns Pie(Makes One 10-Inch Pie)

Ingredients

  1. 1 (24 oz.) pkg. frozen shredded hash browns potatoes, thawed (about 4 1/2 c.)
  2. 1/3 c. margarine, melted
  3. 1 1/2 tsp. instant bouillon
  4. 1 lb. bulk country sausage
  5. 1/3 c. chopped onion
  6. 3 eggs, beaten
  7. 1 c. cottage cheese
  8. 4 slices processed American cheese, cut into pieces

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. In medium bowl, combine potatoes, margarine and bouillon.
  3. Spoon into lightly greased 10-inch pie plate; press on bottom and up side rim to form crust.
  4. Bake 25 minutes.
  5. Reduce oven temperature to 350°.
  6. In large skillet, cook sausage and onion; pour off fat.
  7. Stir in eggs, cottage cheese and cheese food pieces.
  8. Pour into prepared crust.
  9. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
  10. Let stand 5 minutes.
  11. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
