Pork Adobo

Ingredients

  1. 2 1/2 lb. pork, cut in 2 inch squares
  2. 4 garlic cloves, pounded
  3. 4 tsp. soy sauce to taste
  4. 1 tsp. black ground pepper
  5. 1 Tbsp. oil
  6. 2 c. water
  7. 1/2 c. vinegar

Directions

  1. Place the pork in a saucepan.
  2. Add vinegar, garlic, pepper, soy sauce and water.
  3. Cover the saucepan and cook slowly until meat is tender and most of the broth has evaporated (about 1/4 cup remains).
  4. Serve hot over steamed rice.
