No-Egg Wonder Cake
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. soft shortening
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- Sift dry ingredients together into bowl.
- Add remaining ingredients and beat until almost smooth.
- Pour into 2 greased and floured or greased and wax paper lined 9-inch round or square pans.
- Bake in moderate oven (350°) for about 30 minutes.
- Serve warm or cool with whipped cream, or it may be iced.
