Meat And Tater Pie

Ingredients

  1. 2 (9-inch) uncooked pie shells
  2. 1 pkg. hash brown potatoes, thawed
  3. 1/4 c. evaporated milk
  4. dash of black pepper
  5. dash of allspice
  6. 1/2 to 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
  7. 1 1/2 lb. ground round

Directions

  1. Mix ground round and onion soup.
  2. Mix until well mixed.
  3. Add pepper, allspice and milk.
  4. Spread evenly into pie shell.
  5. Top with thawed hash brown potatoes.
  6. Spread over meat mixture.
  7. Top with second pie shell.
  8. Seal and flute.
  9. Cut small slits (4 to 5) in top crust.
  10. Bake 45 to 55 minutes at 325° or until meat mixture is completely done and crust is a golden brown.
  11. Serves 8.
