Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  1. 2 tsp. salt to each qt.
  2. 3 tsp. vinegar to each qt.
  3. cut or shredded cabbage
  4. sugar

Directions

  1. Cut cabbage or shred it.
  2. Add sugar and vinegar.
  3. Fill with water (warm) and seal.
  4. Let stand for a couple of weeks, then cold pack.
  5. Pints take 15 minutes.
  6. Quarts take 20 minutes.
