Dove Casserole

Ingredients

  1. 2 doves per serving
  2. 1 pkg. dry sour cream mix or small carton sour cream
  3. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  4. 1 tsp. salt
  5. 1 tsp. oregano
  6. dash of black pepper
  7. 1/2 c. red wine

Directions

  1. Soak doves in salt water about 2 hours.
  2. Mix sour cream, soup and seasonings.
  3. Arrange doves in casserole.
  4. Pour soup mixture over doves.
  5. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until tender.
  6. Pour wine over doves about 10 minutes before done.
  7. Quail can be substituted for doves.
