- 2 doves per serving
- 1 pkg. dry sour cream mix or small carton sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano
- dash of black pepper
- 1/2 c. red wine
- Soak doves in salt water about 2 hours.
- Mix sour cream, soup and seasonings.
- Arrange doves in casserole.
- Pour soup mixture over doves.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until tender.
- Pour wine over doves about 10 minutes before done.
- Quail can be substituted for doves.
