Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients

  1. 14 c. popped popcorn
  2. 1/2 c. butter
  3. 1 c. light brown sugar
  4. 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  5. 1/2 tsp. salt
  6. 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  7. 1/4 tsp. soda
  8. 1 c. nuts

Directions

  1. Put popcorn in a greased 15 1/2 x 10-inch pan.
  2. Melt butter, sugar and corn syrup together (bring to a boil).
  3. Boil for 5 minutes over medium heat.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in vanilla, salt and soda.
  6. Pour syrup over popcorn.
  7. Add nuts, if you want. Bake at 250° for 1 hour.
  8. Stir every 15 minutes.
