No-Crust Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  1. 1 c. sugar
  2. 1 c. pecans, chopped fine
  3. 3 egg whites
  4. 20 vanilla wafers
  5. 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Chop fine or grind pecans.
  2. Crumble wafers.
  3. Mix them well with sugar.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff (peaks).
  5. Add to dry ingredients; mix well.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Pour mixture into well buttered glass pie pan.
  8. Cook in a preheated 350° oven for 25 or 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
