Sauerkraut And Potato Cake(German)
- 2 c. white sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 2 c. flour
- 4 eggs, beat separately
- 1/2 c. melted chocolate
- Beat the egg yolks separately; mix the yolks and rest of ingredients.
- Beat the whites of the eggs until stiff.
- Fold in 1 can of rinsed sauerkraut, drained well.
- Add egg whites and nuts. Bake in a tube cake pan for 1 hour or until tested done.
- Serves 12.
