- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- Cream sugar, butter and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in vanilla. Combine cake flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Add milk and beat 5 minutes.
- Pour batter into
- a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or into 2 smaller loaf pans.
