Deviled Crab Mexicana

Ingredients

  1. 2 c. corn bread crumbs
  2. 1 c. cracker crumbs
  3. 1 medium onion, chopped
  4. 1 can tomato sauce
  5. 2 sticks oleo
  6. 1 tsp. chili powder
  7. 1 tsp. sugar
  8. 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  9. dash of Tabasco
  10. dash of garlic powder
  11. 2 lb. crabmeat
  12. salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter and saute onion.
  2. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, sugar, Worcestershire, Tabasco and garlic powder.
  3. Let come to boil.
  4. Pour over crackers and corn bread crumbs; toss lightly. Add crabmeat and put into crab shells or bake as a casserole in 9 x 13 dish.
  5. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
