Sausage Crumble

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb. Owens sausage
  2. 2 c. chopped celery
  3. 1 c. chopped onion
  4. 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  5. 1 can chicken noodle soup
  6. 1 c. water
  7. 1 small can mushroom pieces
  8. salt and pepper to taste
  9. 2/3 c. raw rice
  10. 1 c. boiling water

Directions

  1. Brown sausage. Drain most of the drippings. Saute onion and celery in drippings.
  2. Add water chestnuts, soup, rice and 1 cup of water. Season. Add mushroom pieces and sausage. Mix well. Add 1 cup boiling water. Grease a casserole. Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
