Coconut Custard Pie

Ingredients

  1. 3 eggs, beaten slightly
  2. 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  3. 1/2 tsp. salt
  4. 1/2 c. sugar
  5. 2 2/3 c. milk
  6. 1 c. shredded coconut

Directions

  1. Beat milk, salt, sugar and nutmeg into eggs.
  2. Add coconut. Pour into chilled pastry-lined pie pan.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes at 450°.
  4. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 30 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
