Rolls

Ingredients

  1. 1 c. milk
  2. 1 stick butter
  3. 1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
  4. 1/3 c. sugar
  5. 1 tsp. salt
  6. 2 eggs
  7. 4 1/2 c. sifted flour

Directions

  1. Scald milk with butter.
  2. Pour into large mixing bowl.
  3. Add sugar and salt.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Add eggs (unbeaten), yeast cake and 1 1/2 cups flour.
  6. Mix well for two minutes.
  7. Stir remaining flour. Put in icebox and let rise overnight.
  8. Make rolls at least two hours before cooking.
