Scalloped Oysters

Ingredients

  1. 1 pt. oysters
  2. 2 c. cracker crumbs (Ritz)
  3. 1/2 c. melted butter
  4. 1/2 tsp. salt
  5. dash of pepper
  6. 3/4 c. cream
  7. 1/4 c. oyster liquid
  8. 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Drain oysters, saving liquid.
  2. Combine crumbs, butter, salt and pepper.
  3. Spread 1/3 of butter and crumbs in greased casserole (2-quart).
  4. Cover with 1/2 of the oysters.
  5. Using another 1/3 of buttered crumbs, spread second layer and add remaining oysters. Finish with last 1/3 of buttered crumbs on top.
  6. Combine liquid ingredients and pour over top.
  7. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
