Vanilla Wafer Cake



  1. 2 sticks butter (do not substitute)
  2. 2 c. granulated sugar
  3. 6 eggs
  4. 1/2 c. milk
  5. 12 oz. box vanilla wafers, crushed
  6. 7 oz. flaked coconut
  7. 1 c. chopped pecans


  1. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add crushed wafers alternately with milk.
  4. Add coconut and pecans and mix well. Pour into a 12 cup tube pan greased with nonstick spray.
  5. Cook completely before removing from pan.
  6. May be glazed with powdered sugar and topped with pecan halves and maraschino cherries. Freezes well.
