Low-Fat "French Fries"

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 to 2 lb. baking potatoes
  2. 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. cayenne
  3. 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
  4. nonstick cooking spray
  5. 1/3 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  6. 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. Peel potatoes or leave them unpeeled, depending on your preference.
  3. Cut into two-inch strips.
  4. Mix garlic powder and salt and set aside.
  5. Place potatoes into large plastic container; pour oil and pepper over.
  6. Shake vigorously.
