- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. stew meat
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 large can chop suey vegetables
- 1 medium onion
- 1 c. soy sauce
- Brown meat and cook until tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- Add mushroom and onions.
- Cook until onions are done.
- Add 6 to 8 cups water, soy sauce and vegetables.
- Thicken with cornstarch in a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 soy sauce.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
