Chop Suey

Ingredients

  1. 1 to 1 1/2 lb. stew meat
  2. 1 can mushrooms
  3. 1 large can chop suey vegetables
  4. 1 medium onion
  5. 1 c. soy sauce

Directions

  1. Brown meat and cook until tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
  2. Add mushroom and onions.
  3. Cook until onions are done.
  4. Add 6 to 8 cups water, soy sauce and vegetables.
  5. Thicken with cornstarch in a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 soy sauce.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles.
