Bourbon Pound Cake

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb. butter
  2. 3 c. sugar
  3. 8 eggs
  4. 3 c. cake flour
  5. 1/3 c. bourbon
  6. 2 tsp. almond extract
  7. 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  8. 1/4 c. chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Cream butter and gradually add 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Separate eggs.
  3. Add yolks one at a time, beating mixture thoroughly after each addition.
  4. Add extracts, then add cake flour alternately with bourbon, mixing well.
  5. Set aside.
