Divinity Fudge



  1. 2 2/3 c. sugar
  2. 2/3 c. white corn syrup (Karo)
  3. 2/3 c. cold water
  4. 2 egg whites
  5. 1 tsp. vanilla
  6. 1 c. chopped nuts


  1. Stir well together the sugar, syrup and water.
  2. Allow to boil without stirring until it forms a hard ball in cold water.
  3. Pour this over stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly.
  4. Cool; add vanilla and nuts.
  5. Beat until cool and thick enough to set. Pour into a buttered platter or drop by teaspoons on waxed paper.
