Beef And Shell Bake

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 pkg. Creamette shells
  2. 1 lb. ground beef
  3. 1 1/2 c. celery, diced
  4. 1 c. onion, chopped
  5. 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
  6. 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  7. 2 tsp. salt
  8. 1 tsp. oregano
  9. 1/4 tsp. pepper
  10. 1 c. American cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Prepare Creamette shells according to package directions. Drain.
  2. Cook ground beef, celery and onion.
  3. Drain excess fat. Add tomatoes with liquid (breaking up with spoon), tomato paste, salt, oregano and pepper.
  4. Simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Combine meat mixture with shells and pour into a 3-quart casserole.
  6. Top with cheese. Bake in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
