Battered Fried Fish

Ingredients

  1. 1 (1 lb.) haddock
  2. salt
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1 1/4 c. evaporated milk
  5. 1 c. flour
  6. 2 tsp. baking powder
  7. 1/4 c. cornmeal

Directions

  1. Cut haddock
  2. into serving-size pieces, sprinkle lightly with salt.
  3. Mix 1/4 teaspoon salt with remaining ingredients, dip haddock pieces into
  4. egg mixture.
  5. Fry in deep fat at 375° for 5 minutes or until brown.
