Vanilla Pudding

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 c. sugar
  2. 2 c. milk, scalded
  3. 5 round Tbsp. flour
  4. 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  5. dash of salt
  6. 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  7. 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Scald milk.
  2. Mix sugar, flour and salt together.
  3. Add to scalded milk in heavy pan or double boiler.
  4. Stir constantly. Cook until thick; add slightly beaten eggs and cook 2 minutes more.
  5. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
  6. Stir until smooth and butter melts.
