Cranberry-Apple-Orange Salad



  1. 1 (12 oz.) bag raw cranberries (2 c.)
  2. 1 c. sugar
  3. 1 medium apple, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
  4. 1 orange, peeled, seeded and broken in wedges
  5. 1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
  6. 1/2 c. nuts (optional)


  1. In food processor or blender, grind cranberries, apple and orange.
  2. Mix with sugar and set aside.
  3. Prepare gelatin according to package directions, using 1/4 cup less of cold water.
  4. Chill until it begins to thicken.
  5. Add cranberry mixture and nuts.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Pour into a mold, if desired, or leave in a bowl and stir before serving.
  8. Chill until set.
  9. Can even be made a day ahead. Keeps well in refrigerator for a few days.
